I purchased this stb recently and got disappointed with picture quality. Thats why I updated here.

Check whether your tv supports DD+ or not with hdmi?

TV is Sony KDL W700B and ht us Sony dth home theatre iv300 and both support DD+ on HDMI

I am not sure about the hdmi interface version in airtel HD+ box. Dolby Digital Plus is supported by HDMI v1.3 or higher. Old versions like hdmi 1.1 supports only dolby digital. Just try via optical out.

This model isn't new because i am using it for the last 1 year. And i m getting great pq and good aq as well. And its really nice once u update it to 505.

Dont go for this HD+ STB. The picture quality is not good. I was using normal Airtel HD box in my native home, the quality was good even for sd channels. Now I bought Airtel HD+. HD channels are good(not great), but all SD channel quality is worse. This is somehow cheap made hardware having lots of issues like, bad picture quality compared to old hd box, hdmi signal lost for 2 seconds(black screen on tv) every hour, slightly lags while changing channel and menu. No component output. Only good thing is recording.

Check the Allignement,LNB,Connectors and HDMI cable. I dont find such problems in the same model. If you still find any problems ,then contact customer care and if not resolved then send me a personal message and I can send the service manager number as a personal message.

I had upgraded to HD+ yesterday. In Airtel portal in my account it is showing daily burn rate Rs. 7.83.. Any idea..? :huh

bro they calculate daily burn rate.

example :- if your pack price 300 per month. your daily burn rate 10rs.

yes bro your validity is ok. but they say that your pack price & pack burn rate. you are in advance rental pack your balance is not seen but pack price & your pack burn rate u seen.
