I think this TPs now used for feeds, software update or various related data.

Dont know much more beyond this. Or who is using (cBand/Ku).

Most probably dd dth will adopt MPEG4 Tech to carry proposed 97 Channels. As shared earlier, 59 TV avail on MPEG2, remaining on MPEG4.

But presently in MPEG2 too, they can add few channel more if they utilize TPs by modern technology.

Now its high time for Tata Sky to add SONY MIX in Dhamal Mix Pack and onwards. But I hardly believe they will do so.

Yes by compression it is possible. I didn't think in that way. It will be great if Doordarshan achieves the target with good channels(atleast regional language news channels).

Dear Friends,
Why are you targeting DD DTH for bhakti/ Teleshop channels?

DD DTH selects/ rejects channels based on eAuctions. Pay more, get more chance to be added. I think, running bhakti/ news channel/ re run of old serials and Teleshop are most cheaper than running Hindi GEC/ Regional GEC. Moreover, regional players are small players. So cant afford money.

Please ask ur fav channel to take part in eAuctions. If win, they will be added.

I think, Prasar Bharati CEO, Jawahar Sirkar said earlier that, they are planning a policy that will ensure quality channels to be added based on customers feedback.

But that a distant dream as of now.

Gone are those days when AajTak, Zee Music, Sun TV, Akash Bangla, Star Jalsha and many more gone channels were available on DD DTH.
