but i wanted to say that msm have projected kix as a regional sports channels.

It's not being projected as a regional sports channel. It is a normal sports channel. Just that the launch is coinciding with IPL which it is providing in regional languages to gain more trps. If it had been launched during some other time, it would have been difficult for Sony to get penetration of this channel to more households as it has very few marquee properties which have wide viewership.

They have done advertiser deals based on ratings so the more ratings they get the better ad rates they will get. By providing different audio feeds on another channel they can garner more viewership.

Moreover, they have lot of football properties especially South American football which they can't air live due to NBA and which will now be aired on Kix. If somebody can post the epg of the channel for next 24 hours that would give a better idea about this.
