It will be nice if d2h add a feature in online account so that customers can request for an addition or removal......in case of regional channels customers in the same region must be authorized.....

It is already there in their Facebook page...

Just had a telephonic conversation with a senior person at d2h who looks after addition of pay channels. He would not give any sense of when popular and most demanded channels like Star Sports 2 and HBO Hits and Defined would be added. Not even a 3-6 month timeframe. He was pretty categorical in stating that commercial negotiations are on with the broadcaster and when they arrive at a conclusion then the channels would be added. He gave an example of Star World Premiere HD which was being offered a la carte by the broadcaster and accordingly d2h provided it on its platform at a high price. He said they cannot make losses by providing high cost channels at low price due to the TRAI regulations of capped pricing.

Same was his comment on HD channel additions. Guess, its wait and watch now.

But the a la carte price is very steep, nearly 150/- which they feel there won't be any takers for the same based on their arpu from current subscribers and that's the reason they are not putting it on their platform. He gave an example of sony six HD whose a la carte rio is 500/- per month if there are less than 5000 subscribers!
