In yet another step to promote Punjabi culture
and heritage and to bring the social issues
related to Punjab into limelight, Rajiee M Shinde,
CEO, PTC Network, has designed and executed
the concept of ‘The Cinema for Television’.

For the first time in the history of Punjabi
television, films based on classics, novels,
comedy, social issues and many other related
subjects will be made especially and exclusively
for Television audience. In this unique venture, a
series of films will be produced under the banner
of PTC Motion Pictures.

Film titled ‘Kuknoos’, directed by Mukesh
Gautam, is the first Punjabi film in this series
with many more in pipeline. Based on 1984 Anti-
Sikh riots, this film is a story of a man who rises
from the ashes with his firm determination and
hard work, after he loses his family and ancestral
business in the riots, rather than indulging
himself in violence. With the passage of time he
not only regains his lost glory but also becomes
more successful person then his forefathers.

‘Kuknoos’ will premiere on Sunday 6th March
2016 at midday and 19:00.
