It was launched as a 2nd GEC in TN. But after failure, it had concentrated on telecasting movies. But still we can't say it is a pure movie channel. After TRAI's new policy, it is expected very few people will subscribe this channel. So, channel need a complete make over. They have no tamil movie channel. So, it will be profitable & cleavery if they make it as a pure movie channel, premieres new movies everyday, only then channel will get success & will give a hard competition to KTV.

Skystar Telugu logo has accepted & advertised, but objection for Skystar Bangla. But Bangla Skystar logo has accepted.

Tamil movie channels are almost always run by local networks like Jaya, MK and Mega. No big player (other than Sun) has stepped into this field.
