As I have said repeatedly, Zoom HD is much more desperately required. Viacom18 is currently the only network to have HD music channels in any language. However, Times can launch The Holiday as a channel/service as well, without this being a dummy name (like Times Now 2, 3, 4, etc. or ET Now 5, 6, 7, etc.).

I forgot about Zoom. Agree, it desperately needs HD fees.

After passing the acceptibility Test for Mtv Beats by the Huge Audience as Success - Now it's Huge Demand on behalf of the Subscribers that Times Network should launch Zoom HD. Because other Major Music Network (9X + Sab Group + SPN) are on Sleep Mode to launch their Respective HD Music Channel.

Also interestingly Times Network possess HD English Movie Channels but there are no Hindi Movie Offerings till date. So if they think about Zoom HD in upcoming 5 Years - then Zoom HD can give Equal preferences to Hindi Music as well as 2 Hindi Movies daily (May be at 2 pm & 9 pm).

Hope this rebranding & HD offering for Zoom HD will be good in every context.

Zee, Sony and Star have a significant presence in both Hindi and English movies. Times and Turner have English movies while Viacom18 and all the FTA networks have Hindi movies. For Times to start a Hindi movie channel, or Viacom18 to start an English movie channel, will be very daunting as both the markets as very crowded and satellite rights acquisition is a huge issue.

Zee and Star have plenty of Hindi and English movie channels. Sony is somehow managing in Hindi with Sony Max and Wah (mostly South with some Hindi) and Max 2 (movies released from the 1970s to the late 2000s). What it needs is a premium Hindi HD movie channel like &xplor HD. However, Sony is doing fine in English with its single channel, Sony Pix. It has not suffered too much from the loss of Sony Le Plex HD as it has decided not to continue in the Hollywood niche movies genre. But I hope it will enter the Bollywood niche movies genre one day as it has a bigger library in Hindi.
