MUMBAI: The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has directed Antrix Corporation not to suspend satellite transponders to direct to home (DTH) operator Reliance Digital TV provided the latter makes a payment of Rs 7.5 crore in two installments. After considering the submissions made and facts on record, the tribunal directed the petitioner to pay, on account, an amount of Rs 7.5 crore of which Rs 5 crore was to be paid preferably by 13 October but certainly on 16 October and the remaining Rs 2.5 crore by the end of the week.

If it indeed shuts down it will mark the end of the DTH which started with the advertising campaign 'TV Ho Toh Big TV Ho' (if it's a TV, it's Big TV). I was a kid then and dreamt that all my Tata STBs and remotes would become Big TV ones! :rofl: :rofl:
But if it really shuts down then it will be a good thing as it is the least active of all DTH players.

It mentione RDTV nneds to pay 7.5 crores by 20th oct.

But nowhere, we know till now, if it has paid the required sum or not...

If they are unable to pay, then it wud be suspended... but if they pay, it cud be extended. Matter is unclear !!
