Prabhu had filed a complaint in the forum contending that he was deprived of services by the DTH operator despite paying the requisite fee. The DTH operator, Prabhu said, has deprived him of the service from 21/02/2012 due to poor signal.

He alleged that he had paid an amount of Rs 1700 on 16/01/2012 and after four days the signal got lost while watching TV. The DTH operator demanded Rs 175 for sending a mechanic to ascertain the defect. This, the complainant said, is an unfair trade practice.
