Replacement Remote

Hi guyz... I am using the old HD-DVR with 160GB Hard disk which comes with a black and bulky remote which is also a Universal remote. Though a bit bulky I like the remote coz it can control the TV as well. As the remote has started to malfunction I need find a similar replacement. Such a remote is not available in my hometown which is outside India. I tried to find a similar remote through friends in India but could not get an exact one. The one I got (I cannot find a way to insert the pic!) does not operate with the STB. Any clue guys? Do I have to program it or would it never run on my STB? What could be the best and closest matching remote for my STB. I guess there is no new d2h Universal remote which can operate both on STB and TV? One thing, can the normal Universal remotes available in the market be programmed as similar to the original remote I am having. Thanks!
