and carriage fee clause where trai has said no carriage fee needs to be paid if ch penetration reach certain level. DPO are seeing this as loss of revenue.

So they have to give new packs and a la carte by 29th December. Since that is not a part of the case in HC

If there's no limit on NCF and Carreige fee then Tatasky as usual will charge as per their wish and higher than other DTHs.

It's not limited to TS. Look at thread title even ADTV also want it. ;)

BTW this is what DPO don't want in cariage fee rule
Carriage fee has been capped to 20 paisa per subscriber per channel. The carriage fee reduces as the subscription for the channel increases and becomes zero when the subscription reaches to 20% of the total subscribers base of the DPO.

Why their revenue loss? Now DPOs can earn from 20% commission on each pay channel subcription

Where do you see that 20% commission rate ?
The 2017 tariff order dictates a completely new tariff regime, where Broadcasters declare maximum consumer prices for their channels & distributors (MSOs, DTH, HITS & IPTV) platforms receive a separate 'Network Capacity fee' for providing service + at least 20% Of MRP As Distribution Fee.

I think TS/ADTV/Dish/etc want to block the TRAI order because if they increase prices (which anyways they will) due to broadcasters' demands, customers will opt for local cable, as LCOs somehow manage to evade these orders and give cable with all channels at around 250-300.
If they dont increase prices, then, they will suffer losses as broadcasters are not willing to reduce MRPs. So, they are in a catch 22 situation.
