Yep! It's from HBO.

SD Combo - New Price ₹79 not ₹99 from ₹49
HD Combo - New Price ₹99 not ₹129 from ₹69

Now better Airtel provide both in HD as its difficult to shell out ₹79 to watch it in SD..

What will be the price of single channel??

I really doubt that star sport hd is earning 183 from ts or adtv. or d2h. or any other cable operator

do u need article proof for being ts leader?

broadcaster will be happy only if channels is worth to watch by 2000 subscriber lco

if u say example m tunes is happy with same, then its target is first all lco/mso and dth having more than 2000 sub. otherwise it will be itching

guess see this image which i hav clicked fron diwali brochure ...there in the image their a star above the price which corresponds to an info which is written below ch names as SPECIAL PRICE OF 49 TILL DEC 13 as u can see .it was decided by adtv way before so stop criticizing TS for price hike..

As TS giving out single HD channel for ₹90 compared to combo price of ₹99.

For SD Single channel can cost ₹70 compared to combo price of ₹79.

Pls. See all are just an assumption by me but are very close and can be true very soon. Time will tell but SD channels aren't worth ₹79 price tag though many can pay ₹99 price for HD combo. My best guess.. :-)

picture will be clear once HBO updates its website with new prices.

Received an SMS on RMN:
airtel digital TV update: Effective 02-Jan-2014, monthly top-up price for HBO Hits n Defined is being revised from Rs49 to Rs79. For Details call 02044448080. :angry:angry:angry

Is the msg sent to all adtv subscribers or only to those have who have subscribed these channels in past.

Unfortunately, I have removed both channels from my acct. Rs 79 for 2 channels is just too much. Sorry airtel, but this move will backfire on u badly. :s

I am also planning to discontinue the same on 1st Jan, and will only add back if HD feed is available Max. at 100/- or SD @ 50/- per Month. Broadcaster needs to understand the worth of Content......
1 Channel @ 30 for SD / 50 for HD is also ok, as they do not have enough content to run 2 Channels..... Its just a ploy to extract more money by repeating same movies/Series day in & out.....

First of all I do not understand need of having 2 HD channels lauched by HBO at the same time, where in India carriage space is a big issue.

This would have made sense only if they would have stayed intact with their original promise of showing all Eros releases within month...then showing English HD movies and showing so many releases would have required to have 2 HD channels, otherwise, have one HD channel, have nice pricing...definitely the channel is great on concept...
1. Having dual audio.
2. Ad free
3. HD
4. Eros new releases
5. HBO library...

But is it really happening the way it was highlighted during launch?
