Discussion Set top boxes that can be used in cable

I have a doubt. My uncles are using tccl cable connections with their free cable box. i checked that stb there's no hdmi port is available. and that didn't let me change/get multi audio for international channels. for example i wanna watch nat geo in english but i can't change it's audio feed. so, if wanna change my stb. which is best?
I don't want stb provided by cable tv operators. I wanna buy a stb by myself. is there anyone installed stb other than a stb provided by operator?

Not possible. You can only use the STB provided by the respective operators. These are encrypted boxes. They can be use with the same network only.
