Leading television sports video news agency SNTV will offer High Definition services starting 16 January, 2012 in time for the first big event of the year, the Australian Open Tennis Championships.
The announcement was made during celebrations of its 15th anniversary at Sportel, the international sports program market for television and new media.
This HD announcement follows SNTV’s launch of SNTV Digital on 1 October offering a full range of digital products which will include this new HD capability. Broadcast clients will receive the HD service via the Associated Press Media Port system that presently delivers SNTV’s SD video services.
SNTV MD Martin Kay commented, “We are proud of our track record in providing the most relevant sports news to our customers, in the most useful ways since 1996. We also recognise that our client needs are always evolving, which is why we launched SNTV Digital and will be the first sports news video agency to offer HD."
SNTV covers all major sporting events such as the Olympic Games, World Cup, Grand Slam tennis events and major golf tournaments among others.
