I know. Have you seen the articles saying RIL wants to exit entertainment TV businesses. No it makes no sense in buying stake in another network. May be they were wrong. But RIL only retaining TV18 (news business ) is because foreign companies cannot invest more than 25% in news. That's the reason Star hasn't actively pursued News businesses even though their roots is from News only (News Corporation was the parent of Star until it was divided to News Corp and 21CF which was bought by Disney ).

They should retain Colors Brand, bcoz Colors is Home Grown Brand and everyone knows that the Brand Colors is Indian, also, Colors Brand has many channels in other Indian languages as compared to Sony Brand.

Although Sony India has a long history, it is an International Brand with several channels across the globe.
