Lol, ₹8 extra on your bill is forcing you to invest ₹1000 on a DD Free Dish, ₹3999 on a Fire Stick and broadband connection which will cost around ₹3-5k along with minimum ₹500 plan.

I'm also including Star, Zee, etc who are looking for price hike. Otherwise the internet is basic need.
Those above mentioned price would be free in a year of usage.

If you already have a good broadband connection (very likely atleast in big cities) and a smart TV, then its only reasonable to switch to online apps with no further investment. Otherwise, please stick to DTH guys.
