A cricket match gets cancelled / curtailed because either the pitch is bouncy or the sun is not shining enough or its drizzling or the outfield is wet.

Besides, cricket is a "commonwealth" sport.

In our lifetime, BCCI will come crashing down to its knees because of its haughtiness and superiority complex.

Indian cricket team should be given the tag that the cricketing fraternity of India has bestowed upon South Africa!

No Idea About Timings Bro!

It's Said by One Of Cineplex Marketing Team Guy, Hope It Happens As He Said,

And They Have Around 5 Dummy Licenses, Don't Forget.

Once Colors Cineplex Bollywood and Rishtey Cineplex have proper reach then there is no need for Colors Cineplex but would b better if it is made a channel for Post 2000 bollywood films

Sony Sports Cricket
Sony Sports Action
Sony Sports Prime
Sony Sports Hindi
Sony Sports Tamil/Telugu
Or it could be with numbers

Sony Sports One
Sony Sports Two
Sony Sports three
Sony Sports four
Sony Sports Cricket.

Probably from Rain washout Star Lose World Cup 19 Ad Revenue, But Football Always Flop On Indian Television Market, Nobody Watch Crap Running Behind Ball Boring matches and Always No Profit for Broadcasters

Football is not boring but yes not profitable for broadcasters till now except big events like World Cup or Euro.

By the way star network had an insurance for world cup so whatever matches got washed away or shortened they got money recovered for most of it

Doordarshan was paid to air india matches pre private broadcasters bidding era
It was in the pre-globalisation era i.e. prior to 1993 that Doordarshan had monopoly on broadcasting and it was paid by BCCI to broadcast matches.
However, after 1993 BCCI ditched Doordarshan and awarded broadcast rights to TWI / ESPN for a good amount.
Between 1998-2004, the broadcast rights were sold to Doordarshan again as they were the highest bidder amongst ESPN, Sony and Zee.
Between 2004-2006, the BCCI rights were trapped in litigation with Zee. So, on court's order the rights were largely with Doordarshan during this duration.
From 2006-12 the rights were sold to Nimbus which failed to continue the broadcast after 2012 due to multiple payment defaults.
After 2012, as you are all aware the rights are with STAR.

As @Vadirocks bro said . It is a true news that RIL is going for a sports channel through viacom18 and not TV18. The talks with ViacomCBS has concluded about revenue sharing.
Colors cineplex would rebrand as MTV sports . And MTV sports HD new licence is already registered.
These are all planned and will start execution from coming NOV last week.

Like always. Everything is made up. There is no talks with ViacomCBS about revenue sharing or even MTV Sports in cards. When sports channel will arrive. It will be under Colors branding

November is too late. They should do it now. In next 2-3 months.
