They should stop taking rights if they are so concerned about money. Sony show highlights of matches. They don't make loss. Star isn't showing highlights. They are making loss. And again there was no live match in Lockdown. How many times exactly people are watching the same cricket match in 6 channel? Money and ad revenue isn't even an valid excuse when live match isn't there. Concerned about money? Its not because of their love to cricket they are showing it, Its because of their love to money....
This is where i dont like our Indian mentality. there are many flaws in our system. First, why do we have to watch and love cricket only. Then if star has launched SELECT channels to show other sports especially football, then why now show ipl there. how much money they want to make. we have no ethics. we are stupid people who continuously watching same repeated ipl highlights. Most importantly, if they cant show other sports then dont buy their rights. I think they buy epl rights to keep sony out of business.
