Apart from being the rights holders of SA20 for 10 years, from 2023-32, Viacom 18 thus will also hold the media rights of international cricket in South Africa for seven years, from 2024-25 to 30-31, during which time South Africa are scheduled to play 87 games, including 21 involving India.

The price of the rights is believed to be over USD 250 million. Star Sports are the current broadcaster of CSA in India till the 2023-24 season. The deal has been zeroed in after negotiations between the CSA and the Indian broadcaster as the Invitation To Tender (ITT) issued by the board the board last month did not elicit favourable response. The deal will include both television and digital rights. When contacted, CEO Pholetsi Moseki said, "CSA will not comment on a process which is not finalized."
