Should Sports Networks have Regional Channels?

I don't think so. Back when Sony and ESPN had partnership. They atleast aired ESPN Cricinfo. Here they barely even air ESPN FC. Only when someone else like Sony is airing UEFA and CONMEBOL events. And Viacom airs FIFA events. That's when they care.

Coz not many fans watch football in hindi. Usually those who are hardcore football fans watch the game in English. In Kerala and WB everyone watches the WC so they have Bengali and Malayalam regional feeds. Those few people who want to watch it in Hindi there is a Hindi feed and when you give anything in Hindi people in TN will ask it to be in Tamil also, so there is a Tamil feed.

However the majority of football fans watch football in English so they have it on Sports18 1/1HD in English and all DTH and LCO have added that. The other languages if you are interested can watch it online.

Double header matches will be missed if the channel is not added.
 
I think they will telecast main team in HD and the other in SD coz they know that will be a good way of making people subscribe to Sports18 rather than on MTV HD which will be used for just Hindi broadcast
