One word pathetic. While Sony airs almost everything in their regional channels. They keep it to highlights. Why not give Wimbledon and F1 Racing a Bengali or a Tamil feed? They are preventing these sports from growing. They need to more research. Some market like Maharashtra with higher GDP will attract more advertisers than both Telugu state. Yet, they won't give a channel here. Bengali feed can expand operation to Tripura, Orissa and other countries like Bangladesh.

Star Sports does provide many sports events in regional audio/on regional sports channels. Sony has more legroom interms of finances so it can allocate it for different purposes but Star Sports has invested lot on key cricket properties hence is cautious about investing in other areas which will lead to disbalance in financial business model for its sports broadcast business as investment will far exceed revenue generated.

Star Sports infact understands importance of providing sports in regional languages hence has launched regional sports channels and even provides audio feeds on main sports channels for this purpose. Also they spend lot of money for producing customised content/shows for the regional sports audience

They already have the infrastructure and studios for regional channels. Why not use it? I am pretty sure they don't have to pay anything extra to air the events on regional channels. On top of that it will attracts regional audience. They are having F1 Racing in Hyderabad. What did Star did to push F1 Racing to Telugu speaking people?

There r lot of costs involved buddy, having studio infrastructure is just one part of it. To air the live events processing fee too is applicable which is to be paid to government. While deciding on content strategy for linear and digital platforms, broadcasters take into consideration various things so as to cater to the audience in best manner as well as have a sustainable business model . You can share ur feedback with them via Twitter, they shall certainly look at making improvements in the near future wherever possible

Any news whethere ESPN is returning after March 2023? Also even if they do, will they have some impact in terms of programming or production too. Because with SONY, apart from a few magazine shows, there was no visible difference in terms of presence of ESPN.

Football World Cup is about football stars. Attention hores has so many platforms to promote their movies. If you are so desperate. Go to Aastha Channel or Banana Republic.
