Should Sports Networks have Regional Channels?

Star Sports Select 2 is airing South Vs England ODI. Please check the schedule as well as event being aired on concerned channels before posting information on the forum.

Last minute changes for showing various sports events on different channels is done usually by different broadcasters

What is the use of HD channels when match can be shown on SD and no live events on HD channels
Similarly why India U19 match is shown on select channels.

Meanwhile Star Sports and Star Sports 1 Hindi with HD feed airing ISL's magazine shows. This is how much they support local sports rather airing a non live event over live local sporting event. I wonder what Star's apologist have to say here.
 
Star Sports broadcasting the Khelo India Games. why not the national broadcaster Doordarshan Sports? Why did the government given the rights to private broadcaster?
note:dd's telecast only available via dd free dish dth?
