NTO is not the reason. Yes, broadcasters should make channel pricing affordable but for long MSO/Cable TV has had various other issues. Service Quality, Quality of Transmission, Frequent or random occasional blackouts of channels due to issues with broadcasters or technical issue at operator end, immense difficulty in revenue sharing ratio between LCO/MSO / Broadcasters and some other problems have always been there in Cable TV sector.

Had Cable TV sorted all these things and come up with service standard at par with DTH then the subscriber churn would have been lowered and subcriber growth would have been good. Now they are against New Pricing of broadcasters as it may further deplete their subscriber base. I feel they should implement NTO 2.0 RIO like DTH operators r doing, inform customers about price increase and work on improving their own shortcomings which will be a right thing to do. Having dispute with broadcasters and their customers facing issues will further add to the issues which Cable TV industry faces

Maybe on Poor PQ Utsav/Utsav Movie or Star Sports First, it's limited SD and delayed feed.

Most of people still not even know about NTO, they're just paying. few people know NTO they just subscribed for their favorite channels only.

Star Sports First and even Star Utsav Movies has very good audio as well as picture quality. Star Utsav surely has good picture quality but since it airs many older shows hence u may find picture quality to be just average at such point, issue is that older shows r bound to have somewhat lower production quality as compared to new shows bcoz of changes in technology / equipments

I have never watched Star Sports First so I can't comment on that. Star Utsav Movies has pathetic picture quality. Not as bad as Zee Anmol Cinema. But it's just plain bad. To be fair it's kind of a FTA channel. So bad PQ doesn't bother them.

I am getting excellent picture quality on Star Utsav Movies...maybe some issue with ur DTH set up or TV is causing poor picture quality at ur end
