Useless...? They behaved according to the ecosystem. Till Reliance entry they had no major challenges. Did Sony, Zee anybody went so higher in quality than Star these times? Each one co existed with up and downs.
Reliance case is different. Its a type of destruction and rule. Just like the telecom industry that players competed with mutual understanding and provided minimal data and call experience to people. They came and offered never before offers and unlimited services nobody had dreamed then.
Same strategy is applying here, a very quick and wide upgradation in viewing experience at free of cost. Admitting that this will make huge disgrace to Star. But only Reliance able to do such huge capital investments in India.

Hotstar gains it’s popularity in the hands of Jio initially with free data and bundle packs, now Hotstar losing subs day by day and Star Sports is the reason for falling TRPs of IPL and ICC trophies as Sony sports have better coverage and quality.

Last few IPL's took place in UAE. PSL's unofficial venues, lol. Production was average their as well.
