Star has been producing IPL on behalf of BCCI since 2018 and I read somewhere that they're going to produce it this year as well (that too in 4k for jio cinema hahaha) as BCCI has not announced any production partners.
There are no pan bahar ads on ground during IPL. Only IPL sponsors ads are allowed in the ground during IPL (like upstox, swiggy, dream 11 etc..)
Star Produced ACC/ICC events only which happens in India and UAE. I don't know where you saw Star producing BCCI or IPL events, BCCI producing with many production companies. NEP one of the Production company closely working with BCCI and Broadcasters.

In India, we provide technical services to BCCI for production of Cricket in India including all International Cricket, IPL and Domestic Cricket.

Dude I follow sports industry closely. I am 100% confident Star bought production rights of IPL around 2018 when deal with IMG expires.

Edit: Here ya go.

IPL has been produced by Star Sports since 2018, Also, NEP Broadcast solutions is the official equipment provider and AE.live is the official graphics provider for Star Sports, ICC, BCCI as well as as IPL

That's what I said Star not producing BCCI or IPL. BCCI and Broadcaster closely working with NEP one of the Production client of BCCI, overall these production companies working under BCCIs guidelines and later everyone calls that ©️ BCCI Production.

Dude apart from graphics. They have say in everything including decisions when it comes to making 4K available and improving quality of broadcast.

Apart from Dugout which ironically they discontinued. Star had nothing good to offer. Some changes I liked were ad-free last over and moving match to 7:30 pm. 7 pm would've be still ideal though. That's it. They killed the whole vibe of IPL that is entertainment + cricket. Their pre and post show were serious moodkilllers. They have been so disappointing. Getting double header matches in HD feels like such a big deal. We stop expecting 4K.
