This will repeat with Australia rights. Expecting poor promotion of Ashes and non India series. I hope I am wrong here though. Sony also did injustice to BBL and WBBL in it's last cycle.

Just few weeks back Sony did not televise certain home matches of Australia and even skipped airing certain Big Bash League games. I have nothing more to add. Also when Sony gets to air some match featuring Indian Cricket Team then all their channels air it thus not airing other live sports events, also when India-Australia Test Series is on then Sony Sports Ten 5 is airing old India Vs Australia Ball By Ball Test Highlights.

Anyways point is that when a broadcaster invests high amount for major sports properties then it has to make a content strategy to recover that money and earn profits. Tomorrow is Sony acquires BCCI, IPL rights then they would too air cricket highlights on many of their channels all thru the day.


Look at Sports18,,it acquired Women's Premiere League rights and airing its highlights thru the day.

Star Sports atleast despite all the monetary pressures is airing wide variety of sports specially on Star Sports Select channels

Most of matches not aired after Ten takeover, maybe broadcaster can't pay for all matches be it Ten, Star, Neo or Sony.

CSAs Media Rights Value gone down, there are lot of reasons their Board politics and few home matches, be CSA men or women popular players retiring at young age. yesterday they lost important international match against Current poor team like West indies in their own ground.

Also Their Media Rights Value already down, Can't compare with huge value ECB/CA Media Rights. nobody interested Acquire or Renew for high/low amount be it Ten, Sony or Star. Unless new player like Jio/Sports18 Acquire just to increase their content portfolio

I think they will air all matches on Jalsha Movies HD. Thanks to Jio this time they will give proper HD treatment. They have do too much work to clean their image. I might be biased against Star. But look at social media. People were celebrating them losing streaming rights.
