They can cancel SD variant. We only need HD variant. Or they could continue airing on Vh1 HD and MTV HD.

It has been discussed everytime that in today's Time - Sports Channel viewing in SD is not so pleasant for Subscribers. So Sports 18 in SD IMO will not gain that much Popularity as of now. Various Subscribers of Tata Play & Adtv will not be interested as after Free Preview is over - Subscribers have to Retain the aforesaid Channel by Subscribing ALC of Rs.8/- pm. As as per new RIO this Channel is missing from most Popular Packages of Viacom.
As Disney-Star & Sony have accumulated huge Subscriber Base - it will be Very Tough for Viacom 18 to make a Spot. Likewise Eurosport failed to reach Higher as of now.

Viacom 18 knows these facts very well so they will Continue all Sporting Live Action in Upcoming Days on MTV HD / Vh1 HD / History HD to retain that Tempo.

Eurosport never had anything with mass appeal. Closest they came was with Paralympics. Even AEW repeats are highly censored. Also they have to tie up with big broadcasters to get on DPO bouquets. They need Zee or Viacom to succeed. It's too late now I think.
