Viacom18 already transferred all of channels license under Star so won't be that hard in any manner.

See bro things were not easy as it seems at that time. Firstly, Disney UTV was also distributor to many movies. Secondly, it's library was sharing movie rights with many network like Zee, SET, V18, etc. which may raises tension between them so played safe. Similarly, JioCinema and hotstar are playing safe with already purchased rights.

Shifting ownership of channel licence is a different thing, i am saying both r individual companies and wil continue to maintain their branding even in the merged entity

No buddy, there is no such issue..... As i have stated terms of agreement need changes to accommodate/allow for movie library to be shared with the other partner with whom merger has happened or if one company has been acquired / acquired by another.... These things take certain time
 
I'm waiting for next DPO! Can't wait to see Star and Colors channel on same package.
Then only we could be more clear about channel for which network is more concerned.

They will called it as jio star value pack
 
They will not club all channels under single umbrella barring few exceptions, separate packs will most likely continue as before

At least, we will get an idea on the future like the channels shutting down, rebrandings or even new launches if any.
