Where is viacom18 now? All are under Star, so value packs to be modified with colors, cineplex etc.
The merged entity "Jio Star" has decided to transfer assets/licence names to Star India Private under which all transactions will happen henceforth but Reliance (Viacom18) and Disney-Star will continue having independent identity and even various channel bouquets....Please note Viacom18 has not been dissolved if u r intending to say so, it still exists but is part of Star India entity now

Then any possibility of reducing price of star value pack?
Why? Channels and packs shall continue as before,if channels are shutdown or packs r modified for some other reason like it has happened earlier then pricing may be altered

Probable reasons why both networks packs will continue to operate separately

1. Both networks already offer a substantial number of channels in their respective packs. For instance, Star’s packs include plenty of channels. Adding Colors channels and increasing the pack price is likely to have a negative effect on the subscriber base, as consumers might find the higher price unattractive.

2. Operating the packs separately is already generating significant profits. Combining all channels into one pack could result in lower subscription revenue compared to the current setup with separate packs.

For example both Colors and Star Plus are leading GECs. Combining them into a single pack would necessitate additional costs, increasing the overall price of the pack. This could discourage subscribers due to the higher cost, thereby impacting revenues negatively.

3. By keeping the packs separate, both networks can continue to generate stable subscription revenues without risking subscriber loss. This approach ensures smooth operations and financial stability.

4. In the future, the channels might be combined into a single pack, but this is unlikely until the ban on frozen ad rates is lifted. Until then, the networks need to compensate for the losses caused by frozen ad rates over the next two years. Operating separate packs allows them to maximize revenue during this period.

Imo both networks will continue running their packs separately for now to maintain profitability.

Biggest reason why channels will not be merged into single pack is that it shall carry lot of weightage interms of content offered and its viewership and hence again CCI may raise objections to it, more so rivals or operators may complaint on the same citing reasons like broadcaster has important channels and operators have to sign agreement agreeing to their terms and rivals may state that having so many popular channels in single bouquet leads to massive reach for each channels and indirectly leads to advertisers being more attracted to Star India

I've said it many times before they will continue jio cinema model and keep sports free
Not free but hae various segmented plans to widen audience base like lower plan might provide free acccess but only for mobile and with limited add on features and rely on ads to generate revenue....higher the plan there will be subscription price + ad revenue and some more features and maybe a an ad free costly plan too for Connected TV viewer base

For those worried as to will Star Gold Hindi Movie Channels will become like Colors Cineplex as Mr. Rohan Lavsi will be heading the same..... Relax and Chill as i have noticed that Mr. Lavsi does have great knowledge and good understanding of how to curate a nice collection of bollywood for these channels.

If u notice Colors Cineplex Bollywood does play a very diverse and attractive collection of bollywood movies, now as far as Colors Cineplex is concerned again i have always stated that it can and should change its content strategy to focus more on bollywood and dubbed hollywood movies and for that 2 things r important some new bollywood movies which can garner good ratings + mix of old bollywood movies from retro era and 90s , 2000s which can further add value to content offering thereby making channel succesfull but but and a big but is that unfortunately like Zee Cinema, Sony Max here too Colors Cineplex has since last 8 years focused more on airing dubbed south indian movies thus sidelining the bollywood movies audience base & hence u will see even good bollywood new or old movies not performing that well on these channels... If u r not believing my statements then u can read the interview Mr. Punit Goebks gave some months back where if i remember correctly he himself said something like "Big movies are not doing that well on our channels and hence there is will be reduction done in buying such movies" .... Which if i interpret correctly meant new bollywood movies are not performing that well on Zee Network Hindi Movie Channels hence same is case with Sony, Viacom18.

Now this can be changed but one has to take the decision and wait for 6 to 8 months for positive outcome to be delivered.... Viacom18 has fewer good new bollywood movies but that can be sorted out easily but it does have huge collection of nice old bollywood movies so if Mr. Rohan Lavsi decides to change content strategy of Colors Cineplex then initially there maybe downfall in ratings as dubbed south indian movies audience which shift away but attracting bollywood movies audience and building a robust + loyal bollywood movies audience base will take minimum 5 or months..... Remember when UTV Movies was launched it was a pure play bollywood movies channel then slowly it started airing some dubbed south indian movies and then as Disney bought UTV channels back in 2013 UTV Movies largely started airing dubbed south indian movies all through the day but slowly since 2017 bollywood content increased on the channel and beginning of 2019 as Disney acquired Star India again UTV Movies gradually became largely a bollywood movie channel primarily airing older movies, similarly Star Gold, Movies Ok, too saw such transition as previously between 2014 to 2017 i still remember only few bollywood movies repeating day in day out on Star India Hindi Movie Channels and Dubbed South Indian Movies playing more on these channels..... Even i shared detailed feedback with Star India / Disney Star citing proper reason why adopting bollywood + dubbed hollywood movies centric content strategy will bring them great ratings and revenue, it was then that they absorbed + evaluated upon those points and began making changes thus gradually becoming the leader in this segment hence u always see Top 10 Bollywood Movies Premiere list always having 6/7 or even 8 movies from Star Gold Network.

Now as Star Gold Hindi Movie Channels have built a strong bollywood movies audience base and which sets them aoart from rivals Zee, Sony and now partner Viacom18 too whose flagshio channels still largely focus on dubbed south indian movies hence firstly no one will try to alter a very succesfull content strategy and even if someone tries to then there will be downfall in ratings as dubbed south indian movies barring few movies like Salaar, Mawali Raj etc..don't perform well on Star Gold Channels and above all their unique positioning of reaching to widest bollywood movies audience adds great appeal for brands to advertise on their Hindi Movie Channels which no other flagship hindi movie channels from rival network Zee, Sony or partner Viacom18 offer.

Adding to it though not related to this topic of discussion but still crux of the thing i highlighted being same,i would say that Sony TV team is making a big mistake in making a transition from Sony being a channel catering to niche, urban audience to a mass oriented GEC channels like rival networks because firstly this unique content strategy crafted and maintained built a loyal + deducated audience base for Sony TV which liked watching meaningful shows and though Sony TV might have not got huge ratings as other rival network channels but still advertisers felt that buying ad slots on Sony TV was of great value as it had unique proposition which no other channel had and can reach out to niche, urban audience in best + most effective manner.... If still Sony TV Team wanted a shift then maybe they could have brought in few mass audience oriented shows but kept other meaningful shows still on air so as to deliver best outcome, more so atleast on HD feed they should continue the old content strategy as i strongly feel on the mass oriented shows they won't be able to compete with Zee, Star,,Colors

I think they will allign packs like Star value packs, Colors wala packs and Star Colors combo packs. So people can select whatever they want.

I've said it many times before they will continue jio cinema model and keep sports free
I think they will stream IPL & ICC events on both platforms to earn more ad revenue for compensate higher bid prices.
