History TV18 is part of Network18. They already got MIB approval for Name Change to 'The History Channel' and Tata Play also tried to update EPG but it got delayed. Maybe from Next RIO it will be renamed as 'The History Channel'.

currently No, but in future might be. they might bring all non news channels under one umbrella. and might launch separate IPO for jiostar

IPO is almost confirm. TV18 was also a listed company but it merged with Network18 and now they have only Network18 as a listed broadcasting company. Soon Star India will also be listed in the stock market.

It was always The History Channel name On MIB List since 2011 . Only HD one which got later has TV18 name in it . so no rebranding or change you can expect.
