Star Will Complete Legal Process And Provides 4K Channel Before This IPL Gets Over??
100% no confident.

Seems to be correct. It might be star’s conspiracy to keep the viewers with them and not let them shift to jio cinema but who knows ?100% no confident.
I take month atleast. They can broadcast play offs and final in 4K
I too not getting jio cinema 4k in lg webos. Hope a generic update from jio for lg webos should fix thatI upgraded xstream box as lg webos jiocinema app was not getting asli4k ! But even android box jiocinema app not able to give Asli4k! Seems some webos porting pending. Others lg tv guys confirm? But happy with the new box fast and responsive and good video production.
With so much efforts and cost its a doubt. Better then give 1080 60hz uncompressed hdr content. How Many Of You Think,

Need of the cricket: Airtel mobile/broadband users (like me) should rely on Jio for next 5 years of IPL liveSome thoughts from my end on jio's strategy, It's not just ipl streaming. They are going to disturb satellite TV, OTT platforms, Tele communication and Broadband sectors.
Jio's benefit:
1. As Customer going to spend money on internet, so jio Tele network is going to benefit. They can push the jio mobile network , JIofi internet and jio tv to more customers through this ipl. As they have 5 year ipl contract, they are going to shine in entire Tele communication and TV distribution industry.
2. Jiocimena is going to get boost and shine as OTT leader. They may acquire new movies too.
3. Huge mobile users are benefits to jio. Even without any setbox upgrade, they can mirror 4k content or watch 4k content using ott in any 4k tv.
Now I can understand why they spend huge amount for digital streaming.
Star losing facts:
1. Tv viewership and subscription.
2. Tv ad and sub scriber revenue
3. Hotstar ott platform to get huge downfall as already few leading Hollywood companies like Maravel are moved out their movie content from hotstar. And now ipl too.
4. Even 4k satellite subscribers would be limited due to setbox upgrade issue.
Airtel losing facts:
1. Airtel dth, fibre internet and telecom huge impact and downfall due to jio.
2. Even star is ready with 4k, customer need to upgrade their stb. So not sure how many going to do that. In case of jio no need of upgrade they can watch 4k in any other smart tv without upgrade.

You are again at same spot. Time will tell the future. I'm Airtel mobile&broadband user since 2020, now rely on Jio to watch IPL as not interest to go back to TV medium.Nothing of this sort will happen as u seem to be making it to be. Your post sounds like a promotional strategy done by Jio Team rather than a thoughtful, practical, balanced analysis by a informed customer / person.
Sure Jio will leverage the strength of all its businesses and scale up the potential to grow.
1stly Star Sports 4K channel might still launch. Even if it does not it no way impacts subscription or ad revenue of Disney/Star.... 4K is a super niche category and if some subscription fee is charged for Star Sports 4K then it will certainly add some revenue for Disney/Star and if provided for free (chances r there) then as such there will no addition to revenue... .service channels do not carry ads hence no revenue earning possible there tooo. SD / HD channels generate subscription + ad revenue and Star Sports has made sure to maximize reach + make the overall experience excellent to attract more viewers.
1stly don't discuss about OTT here but just to make it clear that Disney+Hotstar will not b impacted much bcoz of loss of HBO content...some adverse impact will happen due to losing IPL digital rights but they will add up various other content to attract subscribers and maintain dominant leadership position . For ur kind information, Marvel content is available on Disney+Hotstar and will continue to be available as Disney owns Marvel.
Airtel is growing across its business entities and will continue to grow, IPL in 4K has no relation to the same....many people using its mobile or broadband network will continue to stream IPL or other things....on DTH front they r providing large number of channels and services at affordable pricing and good service which will help expand customer base and keep churn rate under check.
Lastly people r upgrading to Airtel XStream Box for various reasons, Star Sports 4K is not the main driver so u r again wrong in saying that not having Star Sports 4K will cause drop in customer interest to upgrade to XStream Smart / Android Box
but! time for airtel to act wise and get 4k asap working with star sports!Nothing of this sort will happen as u seem to be making it to be. Your post sounds like a promotional strategy done by Jio Team rather than a thoughtful, practical, balanced analysis by a informed customer / person.
