What might be the issue with cursor like symbol in my sun direct . When I switch on my box after 2 minutes I can get this cursor like symbol mostly I can see in SD channels. I changed hdmi cable, adapter. Went to sunshine center there the box was working fine. What might be the issue? Anybody faced this kind of issue? I have video format auto, aspect auto. Sunshine person said he will get same model box somewhere from customer and test in my tv. I said problem with lnb? He said there will be different issue with lnb not fine. My cable is 10 years old cable but I can get good signal both in sun direct and tata sky. I request dreamdth forum members for clarification. Looks like signal drop might not be a issue bcoz it is not a big drop, 1 point everytime
Looks like your TV problem bro.one time check using tatasky box.

I used sony tv sun direct even then there is this blinking issue, I tried tata sky in vu then there is no issue. On the whole whichever tv I use I can see that clearly in SD channels,in hd channels it goes more on the top so that I can't able to see clearly

I found out the issue, it is recording feature. I used a pen drive and read a file after that cursor is not coming. But When again I switch on the stb it is coming again I have to read the file. There is something with the recording feature.

I am afraid about change of box, whether serviced stb or new stb will be given. If hs2708 I saw in sunshine center given then Dolby digital over . They are saying hsg200 is new box. If anybody found permanent solution inform me. I think stb is trying to read pen drive when it is not inserted that is the issue.

Phew finaly found an issue @Sivabhaskar bro you also check na
.
I don't think we have this issue in our HD box.

I am in Chennai now. I only have a SD box here (S32100). The HD box is at our home city (Salem).

Our HD Box model is the older Y series model (HS8101). We recently got another HD box there too, which is HS2708.

I have recorded only in the HS8101 box before. I have not seen the cursor issue described by @profsathya in that box, with or without a pen drive plugged in. We have a larger screen there. So I would have probably noticed if this issue was present.
