Logically, why would they use a satellite feed for digital transmission, which involves uplinking (compressed), then downlinking, and then transmitting digitally? Instead, they can directly transmit the feed without the need for uplink and downlink. The codec aspect is correct and can be verified for sure, but why use their own satellite feed for digital transmission?

This is what I mean as well. For DTH satellite feeds, they use a compressed version, while Sun Direct GO uses an IP (internet feed) without compression. Hence, the quality is higher. You explained it clearly. Thank you!

For all channels you will be getting uncompressed quality (best possible). All channels, far better than Sun DTH quality.
