perfect elaboration on aspect rations sadiq bro.. In Hollywood some production studios re-render and release the whole movie in 16:9 format for better home viewing experience in DVDs & Blurays. So there won't be any lost in footage (i assume) and I experienced this in person too. this is not possible in Tamil cini industry because dvd releases and online release are handled by different production houses. But I don't know about Hindi industry. and I think sadiq bro is pretty sure about the reasons for the full size screening of Hindi songs. I think they're using zoomed crop in songs.
