Tamil channels in DTH

its time to change for videocon d2h family to other d2h family

negative points :

1) last six months tamil channels will not add

2) tamil radio channels only in air tamil and fm rainbow tamil what about others...

3) we want tamil active music radio service like the hindi latest hits, dj hits,romantic, sentimental like this still now no action taken.....

pls watch gurati devotional, marathi devotional, islamic devotional, what about tamil customers

4)d2h movies only available in hindi and planet m cinema available in bengali
what about tamil channel in sun direcct have cinema club, sun action tamil

5)we have only few major tamil channels available what about star vijay hits, makkal, raj plus, raj musix, mega musix.

6) this is a analog to digital generation pls feel the customer satisfication

7) videocon d2h not response the tamilnadu customers about the tamil channels

27 full screen channels + 2 active screen channels and many more language feeds for Tamil region

in all south base packs 2 south addon free

d2h is not waste atleast for Tamil region

lol... almost 30 odd channels in his native tongue, and he still wants more..
He has forgotten that this DTH is not called :

Videocon T2H > Tamil to home :lol

Dude, Switch to digital cable if u want more channels in tamil. It is bcoz of such diversity in India, we... the north Indians are missing out on our fav. channels like MTunes, NGC Music... just to accommodate your channels.

But have we ever complaint ? No.... coz we respect all languages n cultures across India.

D2h is having more number of Tamil channels than other DTH.

In the list of channels you mentioned as misisng, only Makkal TV is available in number of DTH. Raj Digital Plus is available only in Dish TV. Star Vijay Hitz is a service based channel initiated by Airtel exclusive for their DTH. Raj Musix and Mega Musix are not available in any other DTH.

Though Sun Direct offers you Cinema club, it is separate paid service. Same is the case with Star Viajy Hitz in Airtel. Other than these paid service, if you look at the available channels, D2H is also best for Tamil viewers.

As mentioned, if you select any base package, you will get 2 regional pack for free. You can select Tamil and any other language pack. At the end, you will get all the 29 Tamil channels. The count includes Sri Sankara TV because it is treated as Tamil channel in Airtel Digital TV.

If you still feel, D2H is not a good DTH for Tamil viewers, please let me know the other DTH offering good service for Tamil viewers by offering most of the important channels.

Just a small comparison.

Sun Direct ->
Sun Direct offers Sun Action, Sun Life, Makkal TV and G TV - These are not available in D2H. But except Makkal TV, the other channels are not available in any other DTH.
Sun Direct not offers J Movie, Polimer TV, Siripoli, Puthiya Thalaimurai, Angel TV, Discovery Tamil, Sankara TV and Aaseervatham. But these channels are available in D2H.
Note:- Cinema club service is considered here since it is a DTH specific service, not a common channel.

Airtel Digital TV ->
Airtel offers Makkal TV which is not available in Videocon DTH.
Airtel not offers Mega TV, Aaseervatham and J Movie. But these channels are available in D2H.
Note:- Star Vijay Hitz not considered here since it is a DTH specific service. Moreover, the movies they are playing are already played in Star Vijay itself.

Dish TV ->
Dish TV offers Raj Digital Plus which is not available in D2H. But it is also not available in any other DTH.
Dish TV not offers J Movie, Angel TV and Muraru. Recently they removed Puthiya Thalaimurai too. But these channels are available in D2H.

Tata Sky ->
Tata Sky offers Makkal TV which is not available in D2H.
Tata Sky not offers Kalaignar Seithigal, Jaya Plus, J Movie, Mega TV, Zee Tamil, Captain TV, Angel TV and Discovery Tamil. But these channels are available in D2H.

Reliance Digital TV ->
RDTV offers Makkal TV, Blessing Kids and Win TV which are not available in D2H. But only Makkal TV is available in other D2H in this list.
RDTV not offers J Movie, Zee Tamil, Captain TV, Jaya Max, Angel, Murasu, Discovery Tamil and Sankara TV. But these channels are available in D2H.

So, Makkal TV is the one available in most of the DTH but not in D2H. If they are adding this channel, they will be the number one for Tamil viewers.. Anyway, even now, they are the number one for Tamil viewers..

its not abt count of channels.. its abt quality of those channels..and price that we are paying for it.

Thanks sakthi.. Yes, you are not making any mistake in choosing D2H.. In fact, I have ADTV (SD) in my native from 2010 onwards. I recently moved out of Cable TV in my Chennai home. I was in confusion between ADTV and D2H. I did a same comparison and chosen D2H for two reasons; more Tamil channels and more HD channels (at the time of Jan 2013). You will only miss Makkal TV. I hope it is not a big problem for you since you are getting J Movie and Mega TV as replacement.
