Any idea what is the attendance in the stadium for ipl opening match?
 
Credit goes to DD FreeDish viewers. This is the first time they got to watch IPL on DD FreeDish via Star Utsav Movies. They need to consider airing all matches countering Jio's free stream. It helps smaller brands to connect with Star Utsav Movies. Posh ones can reach out to JioCinema's audience.

As per Cric mufa/John's post few days back jio cinema had 50 crores viewers for first match, maybe they forgot to put one more Zero for 50 crores. Even Non Cricket sports events too mentions 1.3 Cr views on jio maybe it's technical issue.

Overall credits goes to Jio Cinema marketing IPL on TV and seamless streaming experience, which boost Star viewership and Subscription revenue.

They said about Star Sports not Utsav Movies currently, lets see limited numbers match helps or not. if you compare jio with Star Sports, jio done great marketing check on BARC data Jio Cinema Top 5 from last 4 weeks, Star Sports done less marketing. Even after that DD Free Dish viewers get stepchild treatment with only select matches. IMO they should have got things sorted. And added Star Gold Thrills in time with all matches there. It would be a good promotion of a hot new channel on both pay and free platform. Than again you got to have a skilled creative mind to have a useful strategy. Even now we are struggling to add which match and which not on Star Utsav Movies.

In that logic Dream11 and MyCircle has even more IPL ads. Coming to Jio there is no platform limitation like Star Sports. You can stream it across devices. No one which includes Star Sports can post any highlight package or promos on internet without giving credit to JioCinema. They will have to rely on official IPL handle or JioCinema to quote footage.
