They said about Star Sports not Utsav Movies currently, lets see limited numbers match helps or not. if you compare jio with Star Sports, jio done great marketing check on BARC data Jio Cinema Top 5 from last 4 weeks, Star Sports done less marketing. Overall credits goes to Jio Cinema marketing IPL Ads on TV and seamless streaming experience, which helps WOM publicity for Star or Star Sports brand.
Bro its clearly mentioned in the caption itself that these numbers are on Disney Star Network so all languages are included in these numbers

Bro it's doesn't mean whole viewership from Utsav Movies On DDFD, guess what DDFD FTA viewers have different STB not from same company like other private DTHs.

In that logic Dream11 and MyCircle has even more IPL ads. Coming to Jio there is no platform limitation like Star Sports. You can stream it across devices. No one which includes Star Sports can post any highlight package or promos on internet without giving credit to JioCinema. They will have to rely on official IPL handle or JioCinema to quote footage.
I'm talking about they have aired IPL Boring TV ads which airing from last 4 weeks on TV their Own Viacom18 channels and almost all big broadcasters except Star, these ads which certainly helps Broadcaster only and Free marketing publicity.

How does these ads directly attacking TV channel without naming it benefit the said TV channel? Please explain it to us. Did suddenly cord cutters return to satellite TV? Or people having hatred against Jio or Ambanis has suddenly decides to watch IPL out of spite? 😏

Last night I was watching Phir Hera Pheri on Colors Cineplex Bollywood which is a channel from Viacom available on both DD FreeDish and pay platform. They were airing banners of IPL being streamed for free on JioCinema. Jio is even using popular FTA channels like Dangal to air ads about IPL being free on JioCinema.
 
Seeing the figures I can say Star desperately needs to appease DD FreeDish audience. It isn't much difference. 6 crore viewers streaming IPL with limited data (as highlighted by Star themselves) on JioCinema is a really wondering concern. Seeing that Jio is also targetting lower ARPU user by offering JioFiber for ₹198/monthly. Good enough for streaming even on non branded smart TVs.
