Star is Neglecting the Kannada audience.
Also They have HD Channels for all of their Movies Channels but not for Star Suvarna Plus.

Have Asked It Long Back

They Claims, Star Ka Kannada Ventures Are Not Making Profits,

Don't Know How Far It's True!

It would be profitable if Karnataka government gave away free tv and discounted cable to make people television addicts.

Literate audience. Bengaluru understand and can speak English. IMO literate states have genius people fluent in multiple languages. Meanwhile illiterates only finds comfort in their mother tongue.
What a foolish and ignorant statement. Just because If a person knows only one language doesn't mean he is illiterate or fool and in the same way learning multiple languages doesn't mean you are genius and it doesn't work that way. In your sense chinese and japanese people are illiterates just because they don't know any other language right? and when will people realise knowledge is different from speaking or learning multiple languages or a particular language and one more thing the amount of comfort, the joy and the pride the mother tongue provides will never be matched no matter how many languages you learn.

I'm asking about introduction of HD version of a channel whose SD version exists. Your point is valid if I were asking about the introduction of a new channel in regional language. Let the existing minority proportion of illiterates enjoy high quality video and audio.

Very foolish of people not wanting to appreciate non native languages. Keep entitled mindset. Meanwhile Japanese and Chinese people take extra effort to learn English. So don't insult them. Just visit either country. It's vice versa too. Many people wants to learn Japanese to watch anime and mandarin to stay relevant in this globalised world. You will see atleast the smallest person try. Unlike here where people's egos are hurt it they are expected to know more than mother's tongue.

A Bengali person has no problem enjoying IPL in Hindi and English, an Assamese person enjoy IPL in Hindi and English, an Odia watches Hindi and English, Maharashtrians also enjoys IPL in Hindi and English. Even Kashmiris and Gujaratis watches IPL in Hindi and English. None of this language have much common with either Hindi or English languages. Somehow they understands and watches IPL on Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 Hindi. Only handfew special places on Earth fails to understand most spoken languages in this world where broadcaster has to have a seperate set-up increasing their cost on useless thing like regional production while they should be investing in tech. Even in 2024 they are failing to offer biggest cricket league in the world in 4K. We kind of deserve it.

Am not the one who told those comfortable in only mother tongue are illiterates or fools and those fluent in multiple languages are geniuses or incredible minds.I don't think u understand the Japanese chinese reference.Knowing multiple languages doesn't necessarily equate to knowledge is the thing people really need to understand and some people will never understand that.

Watching cricket in english is best, as commentators share their knowledge, analysis and replays shown based english commentary like if english commentator talked about last over then replay of last over shown but in regional commentary u can't have that also in tamil commentary they talk non cricket things like about movie and songs especially Rj balaji hes doing comedy show instead of commentary , previously all people (literate and illiterate) watched cricket in english, because of broadcasters greediness launching regional channels for putting more regional ads and national ads

Karnataka(kanadiga) people not only lives in Bengaluru, don't spread hate speech on languages, it's everyone's freedom/need to learn multiple languages, who can write and read any one language is literate, regional sports channel are useless, just for generating more money on ads regional sports channels launched

Mandarin is second most spoken language in the world, why there is no star sports channel in Mandarin? Because Chinese don't watch cricket and there is no market for cricket in China, regional channels launched based on the regions purchasing power, market value and demographic information to milk them with their regional appalling😂🤦 commentary panel
