I think tata sky is testing on new satellite.
And they might have only one upload center.

So each channel is double encrypted and uploaded on INSAT and new satellite.

So that at both its protected from going FTA.

Bcoz its DVB, and our TV still can't decode this system.

Bcoz its DVB, and our TV still can't decode this system.

dvb is just one of broadcast standard and for your kind info it's minimum requirement is 8psk security key(ECM PID). ECM PID is security key which blocks broadcast going under free access. without ECM Key broadcast can not be said as digital broadcast(DVB-S Or DVB-S2). if any of channels does not contains ECM Key Then it's Analog TV Channels And not a DVB and gets access to be seen with tv without having set top box.

simple maths :

Digital Broadcast = DVB
Entitlement Content Management Protection Key = ECM PID
Minimum Requirement : 8 PSK Key For DVB-S2 And QPSK Key For DVB-S

Without Key Every Broadcast is analog tv Broadcast.

Currently Indian DTH Are Not Having Permission For Analog Broadcast.

nope, none of the DTH company is currently having analog broadcast in the world. for your doubt let take you to some past record of our very own one of child sky television. in late 1980s decade sky television(owned and operated by 20th century fox) was using DBSTV(direct broadcast satellite TV) which was FTA Analog TV Channels over astrasat 1A satellite. at that time it was requires huge big dish to catch signals. which later in early 1990s converted to using set top box and mini size dishes and services was renamed as Direct to home television(DTH TV). at the time Sky Television also renamed to Sky Digital. for asia region fox network brought new company under the name Satellite Television for Asian Region(STAR TV) Operated In Asia And Australia Region.

Conclusion : DTH it self pre dates as DBSTV FTA Analog Services. in simple word you can also say that Illegitimate child(Analog Cable TV) of DBSTV is also near it's death in many country under new generation Digital Cable TV.
