I cant understand one thing!

Tata Sky telecasted NHK World TV channel in 4:3 aspect ratio (with black bars) when added yesterday but later they changed it to 16:89 ratio so no black bars now.

Then why are they telecasting old International channels CNN Intl and BBC World in 4:3 aspect ratio since long time? Why dont they change them to 16:9 ratio as the newly added International channels?

And only God knows what is the aspect ratio of Al Jazeera channel? First it was showing in 16:9 ratio but since few months Tata Sky has changed it to some different ratio which is causing picture cut-off from left and right sides.
