Me bought the binge two weeks ago. Upgraded with old HD STB with 1799.
Major Advantages are 7-days recordings, One Remote for TV and OTTs.

Dis-Advantage is customization. Both the Programs and APPS. No mute button. More APPS in Home Page which we won't use some. For Fancode and Jio Cinema we need to go APPS section.

7-Days recordings won't be much use if you have respective channel OTTs. It can be handy if any premier show or movies telecasted.

Can Binge be used with normal color tv (box type)

Same bro but no option..despite being true smart box they could not even implement a single button to map to LCN 900 which makes me think non smart boxes are better

For this particular reason only I am exploring all hd boxes to find out which box has equivalent picture quality as binge+ box, Samar said new navya box has same quality and again Gokul said same quality as panna box ,so all hopes lost

It has RCA output too. You can connect with RCA cable but personally I will say stay away for ott better buy dedicated stick or box and hdmi to RCA converter for your old tv
