DTH updates Tata Sky now charging for same day add and drop

That I have also checked, this transaction history deduction is happening at midnight I believe. Like if you dropped something same day then it's amount will be deducted at 11.59pm

Yes, they credit amount if dropped within minutes otherwise it gets debited.

I didn't add or dropped any channel but still they deducted balance from my account.after complaining to cc they credited back to my account.cc saying some techincal issue happening

It has been done because many people were exploiting it by adding all channels and dropping it the same day before midnight. This was going to happen one day or another.

I use to do this once too. I got all channels. Before midnight kept the channels I wanted and removed rest. Don't blame me. Blame that horror unsubscribe message which got on my nerves while browsing channels. Specially movie channels.

Airtel did it months ago and others have lock in period.
Only a very few customers knew this and not all of them had been adding and dropping channels daily, it's effect is not at such extent that can lead to shutdown of channels

This won't bring much difference either. Atleast 15 days lock-in period is required. For now you can add the channel today. Watch it and drop it next day before midnight. You will be charged for only one day while you use it for almost 2 days. This way niche channels will die out. Longer lock-in period will discourage from misuse.

If we add a channel and use it for few hours then drop it and after few hours re-add it again, does Tatasky charge twice?
