TATA sky silently hiked price of regional Malyalam pack

This move was expected.

but No notification was given

After we saw lot of malayam channel added in last month

and making total count to 19

TATA sky again back on track to recover cost and make more profit.

and hikes Malayalam regional pack cost to rs25.

around 2 year back when ts reduced no of malayam channel on its platform, they reduced price to rs 17 from 25.

but now with 19 malayama, again back to normal rate of 25.

Althouth Rs17 was exclusive for Malayalam regional pack, all were having same tag of 25.

But this move is hardly afftet less than 1% of customers..
and rs8 hike againt new 15 channel is fully justifiable.

also in every base pack 2 regional channel are free. so Malayalam user need not feel hike.

its those who taken Malayalam as 3rd regional top up will be affected.

And Rs25 is much more better prisicing than any other dth.

bcoz no other dth gives all regional channel in single base or add on pack.

I mean if u r from kerala, with base pack of rs170 u ll get all 19 malayam channel

if u r from tamil, same base pack u ll get all 20 tamil channel
same with karnatka, ap, maharashta user.

if sun or d2h or adtv or rdtv, X number of one regional pack in divided into 2 or 3 top ups separately.

so u have opt all 2 or 3 regional pack of say all top ups like tamil1, tamil 2 and tamil3. etc.

recently adtv done same with Marathi regional pack also.

So ts is caring customer in better way.
hiking and normalising is accepetable in this case

Yeah TATASKY has better package management. They distribute regional channels according to regional language. But other DTH operator provides regional channels in base package. It is highly unlikely that one subscriber understand all regional language. So those channels are just junk for him/her. :tup

TS believes that every user watches channels according to his choice or genre. No user is going to watch hundreads of channels. So their packs are managed accordingly. Generally people go for DTH operators who give max channels, but then they dont get what they actually want.
