Duvvada Jagannadham pushed to July ?

Stylish Star Allu Arjun is presently working on 'DJ-Duvvada Jagannadham' in the direction of Harish Shankar. 'DJ' is supposed to be a Summer release and it was initially planned to hit the screens on May 19. But the latest buzz says that the movie been pushed to July 7 release.

The reason for missing the Summer season is delay in the shoot. The film makers said to have planned tight schedules to reach the target of Summer release. But the delays in schedules said to have disturbed the plan and still 40 days shoot left. The film makers are not in a mood to hurry at this moment to wrap it up just like that, which will affect the quality of the film ultimately. They are planning to complete the shoot by the first week of June as per the latest update.

The postponement of the film will be a huge disappointment for the mega fans. The teaser of DJ has already created a senstation with views and like in the You Tube so, the expectations are very high on the film

Bollywood touch continues for Bunny film

It is not new for our film makers to rope Bollywood heroines in our Telugu films. Similarly signing Bollywood technicians for the Telugu films is also on the rise. Stylish Star Allu Arjun who is known for his fondness to work with Bollywood technicians. Bollywood cinematographer Ayanaka Bose is presently working for his ongoing film 'DJ'. Bunny is continuing the trend with Vakkantham Vamsi project also.

It is known that Bollywood music composer duo Vishal-Shekhar has already finalized for this film. According to the latest update, National Award winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi has been reportedly signed for this project. He has worked for critically acclaimed films like 'Dev D'.. 'Udta Punjab'. Allu Arjun-Vakkantham Vamsi film is going to be Rajeev Ravi's debut film in Tollywood. Even though there is no official announcement, Rajeev Ravi's name featured in one of the birthday posters of Allu Arjun on April 8.

This movie is tentatively titled 'Naa Peru Surya' with a caption 'Naa Illu India' and the movie is going to be an action entertainer. Meanwhile Bunny is busy wrapping up his ongoing film 'DJ-Duvvada Jagannadham

Cheliyaa To Ends Up In Huge Loss?


Veteran director Mani Ratnam's latest film 'Cheliyaa' looks to be on its way to emerge a loss venture in the Telugu states as well as in the US

The US rights of Cheliyaa were acquired for $200K. The film has reportedly collected a mere $79K in its first weekend. Poor reviews and discouraging word of mouth deterred the film from seeing any growth during the first weekend. Mani Ratnam's last film 'Ok Bangaram' collected $372K in its full run. The statistics tell that Cheliyaa is a flop in overseas. The situation is no different in the Telugu states.

On the other hand, the film's Tamil version, Kaatru Veliyidai has performed reasonably better, It collected $322K in the first weekend

Rajamouli Predicted 'Baahubali' Disaster?


It is known that 'Baahubali: The Beginning' was re-released this Friday in as many as 1000 screens across India. Going by the initial advance ticket bookings, trade experts predicted that the film will perform reasonably well. But, after its first weekend of theatrical run, the re-release idea has proved to be disastrous.


As per trade reports, the re-released film couldn't collect even Rs 2 Cr, which is embarrassing for a film released in 1000 screens. Director Rajamouli is said to be miffed with this embarrassment for 'Baahubali', which collected Rs 600 crore when it was first released in 2015.

Who would go all the way to watch a film that has been screened numerous times on Television? Moreover, the DVDs are also available in the market.

Reports are now emerging that Rajamouli was strictly against the idea of re-release. Although he expressed his apprehensions against the re-release citing the above reasons, Karan Johar went ahead with his plan. Considering the craze for the second part, he allegedly expected that he can fill his pockets by releasing the first part.

As Karan was bearing all the expenses of Hindi re-release, Rajamouli and Baahubali producers let him go ahead as they didn't want to get into his bad books and jeopardize 'Baahubali 2' release. In the end, Rajamouli's fear came true as besides performing poorly, the re-release gave an impression that makers will not leave any opportunity to cash in 'Baahubali' craze.

Rajamouli hopes that this fiasco doesn't show any impact on 'Baahubali 2', which will hit screens on April 28

I couldn't play Bhagat Singh role: Chiru


He is Megastar to the Telugu audience. He has completed 150 films, which is a huge number for this generation stars. He has played several characters in a career spanning more than three decades. Does Chiru have any dream character which he felt missed in his career ?

In the recent episode of his Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu show, Chiru revealed that it was his longtime ambition to play Bhagat Singh role. He said that "I wanted to play the role of Bhagat Singh. The character is so strong.. so patriotic.. and such a touching story. I could not do Bhagat Singh character even though the same character has been played by many other actors. I will always have the regret that I couldn't play Bhagat Singh".

Surprisingly, Chiranjeevi added that he is playing similar character in his upcoming film. He spoke about Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy. He said that he is very proud to play the character of a freedom fighter. He said that the movie will hit the floors in June

Superstars' Shock To Rajamouli & Baahubali



Initial reports had it that the audio release of Baahubali: The Conclusion in Tamil would be graced by Superstar Rajinikanth, Universal Star Kamal Haasan and Illayathalapathy Vijay. But in a major shocker to Rajamouli and team Baahubali, none of the big stars from Tamil made it to the Baahubali 2 audio launch. In fact, makers had to invite Dhanush who saved them in the last minute

Besides the film's cast and crew including Sathyaraj, Nasser, Ramyakrishna who have roots in Tamil Nadu, along with Rana, Prabhas, Tamanna, the event didn't see any other stars from Tamil fraternity. Despite having presence of Tamil actors, not able to pull Tamil stars for the event is puzzling many in the industry.

At a time when Rajamouli and team Baahubali is on cloud nine in Telugu and allegedly looking down upon on local media, the situation seems to be totally different in Tamil & Hindi, say rumour mongers.

Compared to the blockbuster success of the first part in Hindi and Telugu, the Tamil version was a bit less and it didn't make buzz on par with the Hindi, Telugu then. So, naturally, the team is keeping fingers crossed on how the part-2 would be received in Tamil and wanted to invite big stars of the industry to set the buzz.

With the plans too backfired, the makers are anxious that how the film would be received in Tamil. But thanks to the super positive buzz surrounding the second part, it is expected to open bigger than the part-1 in Tamil as well

Another Record Deal for Nani's Ninnu Kori

The success streak of Natural Star Nani looks to have helped his upcoming film 'Ninnu Kori' pull off some sensational business deals

After the film's US rights were sold earlier for Rs 3.75 Cr, the highest price in Nani's career, the entire theatrical rights in the Telugu states have now been acquired for another staggering price

As per latest reports. Asian Films Sunil has bought the rights of AP & Nizam of Ninnu Kori for an outright price of Rs 14 Cr. This is a huge deal, probably risky too, but buyers look to be very confident on Nani's film given his track record.

Also starring Nivetha Thomas and Aadi Pinisetty, Ninnu Kori is being directed by debutante Siva. DVV Danayya is producing this romantic entertainer. The film will have its worldwide release in July this year

First Day Enough To Smash Khaidi Full Run Records!

Going by the buzz Baahubai 2 is having among audiences, trade experts predict that the epic film would break the full run record of Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Khaidi No.150' on its opening day itself

With a worldwide share of around Rs 105 crore and gross of Rs 160 crore, Khaidi No.150 is currently the second biggest commercial hit of Tollywood behind Baahubali, which collect Rs 600 crore worldwide. Trade predicts that collecting Rs 100Cr+ share on the opening day is not at all a difficult task for Baahubali 2 as it is being released simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam as well.

When Baahubali released two years ago, the extent of fixed hires, share guarantees etc. was very limited but the trade equations have changed drastically over the past two years. The epic finale is also having the widest release ever for any Indian film so far

'Baahubali 2 can amass Day 1 record from hires only and if we add the collections from all means, breaking Khaidi No.150 full run on opening day is very much on cards,' opine exhibitors and buyers too.

Irrespective of the talk, Baahubali 2 will shatter box office records for sure. Weak talk may not deter audience from witnessing this epic experience on big screen. And, if the talk is positive, sky is the limit for the film's box office potential

Harris: +ve for Muruga, -ve for Mahesh


Ever since 'Spyder' first look released, discussions started on each and everything related to 'Spyder'. Apart from the film's content, discussions are also happenning on the sentiments of the film. Out of all those sentiments Harris Jayraj sentiment is generating interest among the audience.

It is known that Harris Jayraj is the music director 'Spyder'. Even though Harris worked in Telugu for more than half a dozen films, none of them were successful.
