TRAI should force broadcasters to launch HD channels then let them downgrade the feed from SD viewers. It will increase the broadcasting quality.

It's a stupid idea as image looks squized and stretched vertically on CRT and half of scoreboard below screen so not visible. It happened with IPL under sony and happening again duing current test and BBL. it's sucks. That's the main reason I hate Sony's sports broadcasting.

That would put huge black bar on top and bottom in an already small 21 inch screen. So visible area will get futher reduced. That wasted 5 inch matter most in 21 inch crt than in 44 inch led.

Turner SD channels are in 16:9. Only things that are not 16:9 are ad breaks, logo and old 4:3 programmes
