Currently the wave in the market is against DishTV, one day DishTV will also gain users because they are consistently giving good affordable packs with all important channels available, excellent PQ and service. Recently they launched many new things like 4K set top box, Smart+ stick and Cloud TV, these things surely give them some users and maybe they will stabilize again.

Not gonna gain subscribers until they come up with a proper strategy to attract bott mass and niche subscribers.....currently no matter what offer they give most of the lower middle class and people from financially weaker sections will opt for DD Free Dish while their OTT / Smart Box offerings are not attractive enough to attract upper middle class / niche subscribers who r interested in watching content on their Connected TV.....Airtel is not only providing good offers for each segment of subscribers but the way they have bundled its service offerings has helped them gain the edge which others have lacked behind....i believe current Dish d2h Smart Boxes are not even 4K and Dolby compatible which is basic necessity....also many popular channels missing on the platform and many channels just being available on just one satellite is another major shortcoming wherein it restricts choice of customers to watch their favorite channels

No, they are working on a very good strategy. First they migrated all D2H ST2 ROI users to SES-8. From this they also used full time lapse of ST-2 Satellite. Then they launched set top boxes which are capable of running both SES8 and ST2. Now only users from south are using ST2 alignment and after the end of ST-2, they can easily migrate their users to SES-8 in a few minutes. If they do the migration directly without launching a new set top box then they will have to invest more money and user satisfaction will also be low. Now they have SES-8 satellite and SES-12 also available in the same orbit. So they can use both according to their need.
And don't give only Airtel examples, DishTV also launched 4k box some days ago that supports Dolby Atmos and SEI Homa TV. This box will be available soon in market. And every DTH can't give bundled offer like Airtel as they not have Fiber service. And do not force any DTH to do this by coming in contact with Reliance/Local Broadband, otherwise your beloved Airtel will suffer the loss.

Buddy if Dish d2h has followed proper strategy they won't be losing subscriber base + revenues on a regular basis....2 satellite strategy for ROI and South Indian Channels is not a good thing and i am certain it played key role in customers being unhappy bcoz many channels even English ones remained available on SES 8 and not ST2....also there is no need to launch new boxes to receive chs from both satellites, adding additional encryption is enough, they launched new boxes under Dish d2h branding just so that later they can later combine service offerings from single satellite once ST2 expires....they r not using ST2 to create differentiation but simply using it until agreement signed earlier expires when d2h was owned by Videocon.

Also there is no beloved company for me, i am just stating facts....unfortunately just like broadcasters / companies don't accept shortcomings at right time similarly many members / people too simply do not accept such things which ultimately leads to issues....u may have seen what happened to Sony and now Tata Play

It is sales person who pushing the Airtel dth to subscribers more , hence the airtel dth is selling more than other dths.
For d2h, even though it has excellent PQ, excellent customer care , cost effective but less advertisement, bad sales strategy and mostly outside knows it is in sinking ship.
For customers who bought airtel dth, don't know other dths has good PQ than what they bought, believing all dths PQs are same and it varies because of tv model.

Subscribers are least bothered about picture quality, they can not judge good and best PQ of DTH,for them box should work with maximum channels but will watch 5-6 channels only, they do not know that they need not subscribe to HD channel in DishTV as PQ of SD channel is 95 percent of HD channel whereas in other it is less than 80 percent so you are forced to subscribe to HD channel. This is my observation in my Dish TV connection in LG TV

My pack in DishTV is Rs 213 per month and because my pack is more than Rs200 I get 6 OTT apps free and I have chosen 1 OTT app Sony Liv worth Rs1500 per year free ie Rs125 per month benefit free.So I get my DTH connection for Rs213 - 125= Rs88 per month.Whuch DTH gives Rs213 worth of DTH for Rs88,no body can except Dish TV

Buddy it is just an effort to somehow reduce subscriber churn, if u think by offering this benefit they will succeed and this is great strategy then again u r wrong.

Also Airtel is offering complimentary Airtel XStream Play Premium Subscription which has 24 OTT Apps and i have already discussed about benefits Airtel gives to its DTH, Mobile, Broadband and Airtel Black customers....none of the other operators can match the same yet maintain a sustainable business growth.

Tata Play regular / account specific / regional DTH plans too are costly if we compare to Airtel Digital TV and hence even if they give some channel packs at Re. 1 for 1st month under Jingalala Offers still i don't see much savings in it neither is it beneficial for the company....yet again an effort to somehow reduce subscriber churn and i had said long back that Pre NTO Tata Play (Tata Sky) had advantage of getting good discounts in advanced bulk deals with broadcasters but as NTO created level playing field hence Tata Play struggled to garner revenue / profit margins following old strategy of getting discounts from broadcasters and setting a price point for customers which had good profit margins....i always stated that they had to follow Airtel Digital TV and expand revenue streams by showing teleshopping ads on home channels and adding more such channels + adding more carriage fee channels thus giving customers channels at good discount at same time maintaining growth in revenue but sadly it was not done and not having good bundled DTH + Broadband plans like Airtel Black further added to their downfall....even Dish TV should have partnered with some Broadband Service Provider for giving customers Combo Offerings.... I guess u must be knowing that although Airtel operates in broadband domain but to expand its subscribers they partnered with LCO to enable smooth deployment / lookafter of cables and hence it helped them immensely in providing great Wi Fi services to customers which helped growth of DTH Subscriber Base via bundled plans
