So in Q1 FY 24 overall DTH Subscriber Base saw an increase.....if we delve into details then Dish d2h lost 2.3 lakh subscribers while Tata Play saw its subscriber base increase by 1.3 lakh , Airtel Digital TV saw its customer base increase by 1.2 lakh and Sun Direct gained highest number of customers amounting to 2.7 lakh subscribers .

Despite IPL witnessing a huge growth in TV viewership 3 out 4 DTH Operators namely Tata Play, Airtel Digital TV and Sun Direct were to able to leverage this opportunity thereby getting positive outcome while Dish TV D2h lost subscribers in this period too

According to the performance indicator report of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the total active subscriber base of the four pay DTH operators – Tata Play, Dish TV, Airtel Digital TV and Sun Direct – increased 0.38% quarter-on-quarter to 65.50 million.

However, on a year-on-year basis, there was a 2.29% decrease compared to the 67.04 million subscribers in the same quarter a year ago.
