You are wrong bro, in new regime if you take one regional channels alone let say tamil, you need to pay around 250 which is way higher than old system - varies on dth from 100 - 160 only
No. Those are MRPs. Only alacarte channels and broadcaster bouquets will be presented at MRP for subscribers. All distributor packs will have a further discount of 25-30% minimum.

That is because of the astronomical prices broadcasters have set for the regional channels bro. If the prices are reduced, we will not have to pay that much!

Distributor packs will again have unnecessary channels and if customer goes with them, they will be at unnecessary loss.

Tata sky is fighting in court because their Highest packs were already around Rs 800 - 900 including HDAF, whereas other DTH provided it at much lesser cost. I think TS is looking at a mass loss of revenue due to TRAI implementation.

1.Reduce some amount of gst.
2.Reduce the price regional entertainment channels priced above Rs 15.
3.Reduce network capacity fee.
Altogether it can bring a big relief to consumers. There is a hope for 2 & 3 since the current published rates are 'MRP's.
