HDMI has become the most sought after interface when it comes to digital TV viewing. So, thought of giving a brief on HDMI. Here we go...

EDIT: I forgot to brief about the connectors in the above Tutorial. Here it is...

TYPE A, C, D are similar connectors. All these 3 connectors have 19 pins. They differ only by the size. TYPE A is mainly found in STB, TV, DVR, AVR, DVD/BD players. TYPE C and D are mainly found in ipad, Tablet PC, Smartphones, gaming consoles, digital cameras and other Portable/Mobile devices.

TYPE B is an entirely different connector with 29 pins. Its also called Dual-Link connector. Its not used in any devices so far.

i cant understand why all channels have chosen 1080i as their standard for HD, the global standard for Full hd though remains 1080p... 1080i is almost equivalent to 720p ... :huh
