I don't think so bro, look at Jio, it's no more 20% less than other service providers as promised by Ambani, I can visualise significant price rise after merger which will refrain middle class people from buying starcolors bouquets
i believe they will separate contents on the budget spent and its availability to attract subscribers. normal add content might me made available on secondary channels for cheaper price, whereas premium channels will be in higher cost at premium bouquets.

Nobody is talking about pricing, already value pack of star is costly as compared to other broadcasters, merger will just increase the pricing further, at least Viacom 18 had some affordable bouquets , this merger will not be fruitful for viewers for sure

Though Star India packs r little costly but offers more channels and good range of content across its channels so no complaints on the same

Well its true to some extent that they might keep the major companies to an extent as the merger is still not finalised.

But its not because of merger . While merger and acquisition are both different they serve some similar powers. Like in merger a party can split same as spinoff in acquisition.

But once merger is completed the portfolio belongs to everyone in it. You cant claim that certain channels and assets belongs to you . Except hotstar versions in south africa , uk and east asia .

Buddy please read my post again, i said that just incase companies again decidev
to split then having established channels helps sustain momentum so in JV we still see each company trying to keep its succesfull channels continuing

Star channels price become costly due to disney ...they are facing loss in sports and other business that's why they are looting the money from us just simply increased the price of the channels..here the case is different ambani doesn't face any loss in entertainment business that's why he is will to buy controlling stakes in disney star nd he is successful indian business he know the indian markets , so he will make combined star colors packs for affordable price My guess

There is no such looting but the pricing justifies the diverse set of channels and content they provide.... Also They have already cut down on buying sporting properties wherein losses mounted bcoz of extremely high acquisition cost and minimal returns, there is no connection between this and broadcaster bouquet pricing

Buddy, u making wrong comparison..... I Tamil Nadu if i am not wrong Cable TV pricing is highly subsidised bcoz of government policies hence obviously Cable Operators would get earning less revenue while have to give money to broadcasters as per regular pricing as as charged across India (as per price mentioned in RIO agreement) so obviously the deficit would lead to disputes arising and Cable Operators asking for more discounts

I just said this because cable operator are blaming the star network due to high price bouquets ..they doens't understand the value of content

What good range of content u r talking about? Star plus telecast heena Khan episodes of Yrkkh all day long which also runs on star utsav, star plus HD charges Rs. 23 + GST on what basis? even prime time shows are regular saas bahu sagas(Ekta Kapoor virus), nothing good or new ⭐ is depicting

Still the bouquet containing gecs and movie channels will cost around 70 to 80 rupees+ GST, mark my words
